RSNA, or the Las Vegas Strip? Takeaways from the 2023 Annual Conference

The 2023 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago just wrapped up. With more than 34,000 attendees, 400+ educational courses and scientific sessions, and 730+ exhibitors, this event is the largest medical imaging conference in the world. And at a scale that is both impressive, and a bit daunting.

Walking the seemingly endless rows of booths and displays feels a bit like walking down the Las Vegas Strip for the first time – bright flashy signs everywhere beckoning you to try the many shows, meals, activities, and casinos all vying for your business. There are lots of choices, but how do you know which ones are good? How much should they cost? This experience at RSNA is a good reminder of just how complex the selection and buying process for medical technology is.

Too many options can be overwhelming
