Position Overview
The Inventory Operations Lead is a critical role providing hands-on support for Miga’s operations that involves a broad range of different types of pre-owned medical equipment. This position is responsible for receiving and processing equipment sent to Miga by our hospital clients, data capture of equipment information and preparing equipment for shipment sold to customers involving coordination with internal team members and outside suppliers.
The right candidate will be a reliable, self-starter who can work independently and seek additional direction and guidance whenever needed. Success in this position requires a team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a proven commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Processing
- Receive and verify specifications of inbound inventory of pre-owned medical equipment
- Process inventory including verify functioning, prepare for sale and photograph for online listing
- Record product/ information in company systems
- Computer research & pricing data entry as needed
- Inventory and Warehouse Management
- Maintain and update inventory information in company systems
- Maintain a secure, clean and organized warehouse
- Track and order shipping, warehouse and maintenance supplies
- Shipping and Logistics
- Determine packing and shipping requirements to ensure safe shipment of equipment
- Prepare and deliver shipping quotes to sales team
- Schedule, coordinate and receive inbound shipments of equipment from customers
- Prepare, pack and schedule outbound shipments of equipment to customers
- Other Tasks
- Complete miscellaneous office & warehouse support needs as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable, proven work history
- Good communication skills – written and verbal
- Organized and detail oriented with ability to juggle multiple tasks while meeting quality standards
- Computer skills – MS Office proficient and comfortable using computer
- Self-starter, able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Prior work experience in a warehouse setting ideally with shipping and logistics experience
- Physical ability to lift or move heavy pieces of equipment
- Basic mechanical and/or technical skills a big plus
